Kayakers have long known Kyuquot as an ideal paddling location. The clusters of islands & islets that cover the coastline create secluded areas protected from wind & surf. These same islands and reefs create amazing fish habitat too. A kayak is the perfect fishing vessel for these waters because anglers can skim along the surface in and around the reefs making it more than possible to catch your daily limit, each and every day.

Package Itinerary.
From the moment you arrive at Fair Harbour until you see us waiving in your rearview mirror, your trip is tailor made for your group - every effort will be made to deliver any reasonable requests!

Pick up time is 8am in Comox. Travel north and arrival at 12:30pm in Fair Harbour. Then travel by boat to the lodge: check in, get settled & enjoy lunch. Head out for afternoon fishing & gather for a late evening dinner.

Each day starts with an early breakfast and fishing starts right after breakfast. Fish for 6-8 hours or depending on how long your group would like. Or enjoy a custom adventure, it’s your choice! Enjoy appetizers upon arrival at lodge with an evening feast to follow.

Enjoy your last morning on the water fishing or an adventure. Departure will be at 11am for return travel to Comox. Arrive in Comox at 4:30pm.

If group members would like an adventure other than fishing, let us know. We offer custom adventures to Rugged Point, Thornton Island, Spring Island or you can go up west to the Bunsby Islands or Brooks Peninsula. Each trip is priced based on your adventure choice. Meals can either be picnic-style or fully catered gourmet beach lunch. Ask for a quote & details!

Fishing from a kayak in the remote waters of Kyuquot is a truly unmatched experience. Unlike more crowded destinations, here you can keep your daily catch—bringing home salmon, halibut, cod, and sea bass to fill your freezer for the winter.
The real magic? Fighting a powerful saltwater fish at eye level from your kayak. You’ll be just above the ocean surface, watching every twist, turn, and splash as the fish puts up a thrilling battle. If you’ve only fished from power boats before, this hands-on, heart-pounding action will change the way you think about fishing forever.
We offer kayak fishing in June, when the protected inside waters are calm, productive, and easily accessible with our outfitted kayaks (equipped with electric motors, paddles, and pedals). Late summer is ideal for coho salmon—they strike hard and fight right on the surface, delivering nonstop excitement.
All-Inclusive, Expert-Guided Lodge Experience
Each Sea Otter Lodge kayak fishing package is all-inclusive and ultra-personalized, with only six guests per trip. You'll fish alongside our expert guide and a fully equipped mothership, which transports you to the best grounds and provides coaching, tips, and support when needed.
After a day on the water, relax on the lodge deck with a drink and a view of the bay while our chef prepares an evening feast. Each morning starts with a hot breakfast, followed by a full day of guided fishing and a picnic lunch to enjoy on the water or one of the nearby secluded beaches.
And yes—you’ll go home with your legal limits of beautifully vacuum-sealed fillets.
