Getting Here – Kyuquot BC

Driving

From Campbell River by car: From Campbell River by car, drive north on Vancouver Island’s Highway 19. (Travel Tip: a good place for lunch is the Cable House Restaurant in Sayward.) Travel past Sayward to Woss, and then turn off the highway for Zeballos and continue on to Fair Harbour. This is the terminus for car travel. Ample parking is available for vehicles and boat trailers. From Campbell River, the drive is approximately 3 ¼ hours, half of which is on gravel road. Travel to Sea Otter Lodge in Kyuqot from Fair Harbour is approximately 40 minutes by boat or water-taxi.

From Vancouver by car: Voyage to Nanaimo or Victoria on Vancouver Island aboard one of the many scenic daily sailings offered by B.C. Ferries.

From Courtenay by shuttle: Groups may book with Cona Shuttle.

By sea, the MV Uchuck III makes weekly stops in Kyuquot as part of its spectacular West Coast adventure route from Gold River.

You’ll cruise to Sea Otter Lodge thru jaw-dropping scenery along the rugged West Coast aboard this comfortable, classic working passenger freighter. Come ashore and enjoy a week of exploring, bring your kayak for a longer stay, or use Sea Otter Lodge as the orientation base for your adventure. Upon arrival, we will greet you at the dock in Kyuquot where you will catch a glimpse of life along the historical boardwalk village. We have small boats for you to use within the inner harbour of Kyuquot. Our boat the Perseverance can be chartered for day trips to the wonderful coastal islands waiting to be explored. Fishing guides can be arranged for the fishing enthusiasts.
