The Adventure Awaits…

Beautiful sandy beaches surrounded by coastal islands. Old growth forests and remote wilderness.

Scenic cruises every Thursday aboard the M.V. Uchuck III from Gold River.

Thrilling fishing! The big one is at your doorstep. At Sea Otter Lodge and Little Lumberjack Lodge, you’re just ten minutes away from the best sport fishing in British Columbia. Salmon, Halibut, Cod, and Red Snapper are in abundance. Peak Season: May – August. Halibut so big you’ll need a harpoon! Best time for Halibut: May & June.

Kyuquot is the perfect place to find fish because a virtual freeway of feed exists right offshore to deliver prolific Salmon, Cod and Halibut fishing - and it keeps them feeding all summer long.

Why? The marine topography here is unique. The undersea continental shelf comes within 6-10 miles of Sea Otter Lodge, bringing the feed very close. The massive outcropping of the Brooks Peninsula works to prevent your catch from leaving. At other BC fishing destinations, the fish are often just passing through. Here at Sea Otter Lodge, the fish are here when you are.

Feast on succulent fresh caught Prawns, Crabs, Oysters, Clams & Mussels.

Visit spectacular Rugged Point; easily one of the most beautiful stretches of shoreline on the entire coast. This 300 hectare marine park is calm & quiet on one side, surf-swept on the other.

Explore the stunning beauty of the Brooks Peninsula, offering sandy beaches and a world-class wilderness experience. This provincial park is home to rare plants and unique geological formations – a premier Vancouver Island Eco-Tourism destination.

Behold the kayakers Mecca; the breathtaking Bunsby Islands. This 600 hectare paddler’s paradise is a world-class marine park, featuring an ecological reserve, archeological sites, old growth forest and jaw-dropping scenery.

Fantastic whale watching! Depending on the time of your visit, you could spot Orca, Humpback or Grey whales.

Scenic diving.

Vancouver Island Storm Watching is a winter highlight and one you'll remember for a lifetime.
